Meet Felix, our administrative assistant for kNOw-PAIN. Felix graduated from Western University, earning his Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree in Physiology. He is passionate about research, having previously investigated neuronal birthdating in zebrafish, as well as age-associated changes in the extracellular matrix of mouse lungs. He is interested about transdisciplinary pain research, especially how different fields can help us better understand the perception and experience of pain. Outside of the lab, Felix is an accomplished pianist, having received his ARCT diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and he performed throughout Ontario and in New York City. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer and basketball, as well as learning new languages. He is fluent in English, French, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
