Data Procurement and Analysis

The first initiative we have as kNOw-PAIN involves collaboratively collecting, sharing, and analyzing data. There are many existing open access databases with a variety of pain measures that have yet to be investigated, and by analyzing these data, we aim to uncover new relationships between pain and various biomarkers. Our approach involves:

  1. Curating existing databases for data relevant to pain reserach

  2. Mobile data collection at clinics and in the community

  3. Development of a patient registry in Southwestern Ontario

By employing patient-centered approaches in these research steps, our findings will address the needs and concerns of those impacted by pain.
